  • Yaas Relief:

    Strong winds, flooding rains and a coastal storm surge, or a rise in ocean water above normally dry land, are possible as Yaas becomes India’s second land falling tropical cyclone in a week and a half. Very strong winds may damage dwellings, communication systems, trees. etc. resulting in loss of life and property.

    As a response to the cyclone yaas, SHIRC along with citizens youth groups and organizations came forward to identify and provide access to essential services in the cyclone yaas affected districts of Bengal working with working the Govt & Administration.

  • Occupational Therapy

    Course curriculum 1. Understanding sensory processing . *Awareness of the sensory systems . * Sensory organs. * What is hypersensitivity vs hyposensitivity. 2. Impact of sensory processing difficulties on behavior. 3. Where to draw the line : sensory or behaviour. 4. Demonstration of sensory diet on children (if possible or vedio presentation) PRACTICAL The participants will be given practical exposure of all the theoretical inputs as assessment session. Once the sensory program is finalised ,the participants will be taught implementation of the plan. This module is primarily for implementation of program under the autism spectrum disorder, Adhd and learning difficulties. Important to note that the participants will be in a position to implement a sensory program which has been designed by a qualified occupational therapist. THIS DOES NOT GIVE THE ABILITY TO DESIGN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY PROGRAMMES.

    Rohan Mondal (15) a student of Speech & Hearing Institute & Research Centre toiled with an old KODAK KB10 camera to shoot his fellow companion Saima Khatun(15) while she was painting on a given canvas. Awestruck and bewildered, Speech & Hearing Institute & Research Centre decides to train them in photographic and various other skills to lead them towards the journey of Self-reliance and sustainability.
